Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman is a Consultant Ophthalmologist, currently serving as Dean Health Sciences and Head of Ophthalmology at Peshawar Medical College.
He completed his MBBS (1982) from Rawalpindi Medical College and later earned FCPS (Ophthalmology, 1998). He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Health Professions Education from Aga Khan University.
He has previously served as Associate Dean and Principal at International Islamic Medical College. For his services, he received the Best Achievement Award during RMC’s Silver Jubilee celebration.
Dr. Hafeez has served as General Secretary and later President of PIMA, and is currently a member of PIMA’s Central Executive Committee. Through POB Trust, he contributed to helping millions of patients globally.
He has also been part of the Central Executive Council of FIMA, serving as International Relief Coordinator, Secretary General, and later becoming the Founding Director of FIMA Save Vision (2005).
The Save Vision Program, developed with WHO and 400 surgeons, examined over 1 million patients and performed 200,000+ surgeries, earning the Hilda and Rosenthal Award (2009).
Dr. Hafeez has been serving as Executive Director FIMA since July 2018.
In Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, he has held multiple leadership roles, including:

Graduated as medical Doctor in 1999, became an ophthalmologist in 2004 and finished her PhD in 2016 at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Indonesia. She went for short fellowships program in several institutions such as the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital Melbourne in 2007, the Royal Perth Hospital/Lions Eye Institute Perth in 2011, and the University Hospital Basel in 2011. She has a patent for the Virna Glaucoma Implant, which is currently being used to treat glaucoma in Indonesia and started to be used in other countries.
She is an Associate Professor in the Ophthalmology Department FMUI for medical students, registrars and fellows and also appointed as Secretary of the Dean of FMUI since 2025. She currently serves as the President of the Indonesian Glaucoma society (IGS) since 2019, which is actively organising conferences and webinars to spread glaucoma awareness in Indonesia. She is also the board member of Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society (APGS) and the Head of the Research body of Indonesian Ophthalmology Association (IOA/PERDAMI) since 2025.

I am a FCPS-qualified ophthalmologist with subspeciality fellowship in Surgical Vitreo-Retina.
I did my Ophthalmology residency from Al-Shifa trust eye hospital Rawalpindi, Pakistan and Vitreo-Retina fellowship from Peshawar medical college, Peshawar, Pakistan where I am currently serving as Consultant Ophthalmologist and Assistant Professor. My professional responsibilities include clinical service delivery, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and academic activities.
I have been actively involved in community and tertiary eye care through participation in numerous national and international level eye surgical camps, including vitreo-retinal surgery camps in Afghanistan, Somalia, and Somaliland.
I have also served as an external faculty member and examiner for DO and MS ophthalmology programs at University of Hargeisa, Somaliland and in this capacity, I have undertaken multiple visits to Hargeisa and Mogadishu to conduct examination, to train residents in phacoemulsification surgery and for the establishment and strengthening of surgical vitreo-retinal services in the country.
